  1. My “Bucket List”

December 22, 2011 by April Smith

I realize I still have a lot of years left to live but I also know that we’re not guaranteed another day either. My Dad passed away at the young age of 53 and I bet you if he had known, he would have done more for himself before his time. Lately, I’ve thought a lot about what things I’d like to accomplish before I become an old maid and regret not doing more…

    These are those things:

    Travel Destinations:

    Chicago

    Tuscaloosa

    Boston

    San Fransisco

    Seattle

    Austin

    Maine

    Miami

    London

    Paris

    Australia

    Germany

    Concerts to See

    Prince

    Garth Brooks

Lady Gaga (Shut it, she’s talented)

    Things to Do:

Send each one of my children to a great college

Do at least one more Round-Off-Back-Handspring

    Meet Blake Griffin

Attend a surprise birthday party… for me  ;)

Create my OWN holiday traditions with my own family

Tour the campus of The University of Alabama (and Tuscaloosa) to learn more of my great-grandfather’s legacy (who was Univ. President)

Rescue and/or foster as many animals as I possibly can from shelters

Run my own small business; become an entrepreneur

Honor my father in everything I do so that I can look back and know that I’ve made him proud

    Own a David Yurman

    Eat an authentic Croque-Em-Bouche

Become a leader in a management role

    Drive a Harley

    Live beachfront

    Write a novel or autobiography

Dedicate my life to causes that are dear to me: Cancer, Depression, Diabetes

Tour the Biltmore with someone I love very much

Forgive every person who has hurt me (think about it… that’s tough)

Sing Karaoke just one more time and not be terrified to do so

    Swim with dolphins

    Eat in Italy

    Live in downtown Charleston

    Run my own restaurant (maybe)

I”m sure there are SO many more that I’m forgetting but this is a good place to start! I will add more as I think of them…
